Visit Lamb’s Rest Inn in New Braunfels and tour Canyon Lake Gorge - The Canyon Lake Gorge was created by the 2002 flood event and was eroded to depths up to 40 feet below the pre-flooded terrain. This is the result of floodwaters escaping over the spillway at Canyon Dam. This tragic event “unearthed” a true treasure. For the protection of the Gorge and public safety, The Canyon Lake Gorge is open for Guided Tours Only. Last couple of weeks the Guadalupe river was too high for toobing -however the Canyon Dam has reduced the release and the river is NOW perfect for all toobing, kayaking, canoeing or just for playing. A great company for renting toobs is the RockinR in Gruene, Texas.
