Our new hideaway — I brought my wife here for her birthday and it was the most romantic, serene experience ever. Being an obviously Christian run place I was admittedly nervous as we are a pagan LGBT couple. Those nerves were unfounded. Our hosts were super nice from the moment we arrived and we were never uncomfortable in the least. Quite the opposite actually. We very much felt welcome and at home. We stayed in the Lilycott cottage and it was remarkable from the view of the river to the romantic bathtub. The fireplace didn’t work but that was the only negative and to be fair we didn’t complain about it either so that’s on us. Breakfast was amazing both days and trying new foods was awesome! We will be back to this lovely cottage. It’s the most romantic getaway I can imagine and my wife was VERY happy with her birthday getaway. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I have a feeling this will become our home away from home.

Romantic gateway — Beautiful place! Wonderful location by Guadalupe river and very close to Gruene old town. We got lovely cottage with balcony and river view, fireplace and jacuzzi. Everything very clean and nicely decorated. The owners are very nice and welcoming. Perfect. 

Peaceful & Beautiful B & B — Located close to Gruene, a fun town to shop, eat and stroll. The inn is on the Guadalupe river and has exceptional landscaping. The room were comfy, clean and quiet. The house is beautifully decorated. The two breakfasts we had were the best we’ve had at any B & B! Owners were very kind and accommodating. Would highly recommend as a quiet location to commute to San Antonio, just a half hour away, or for a short retreat.

Best B&B! — My husband and I enjoyed staying at this hidden gem for three nights the week of July 4. We stayed in one of the rooms inside the house and the king size bed was so very comfortable as well as the pillows. Breakfast each morning at 9:00am was delicious with coffee, juice, fresh fruits and a main entrée offered. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. They even had a couple of kayaks we could take out on the river. We both enjoyed the stay and want to go back again someday.

“Family Reunion”

We spent Christmas Vacation here as a family reunion. There were 20 of us and the staff was great. Rooms clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here if in the San Antonio area. more.
